FREE Flu Vaccinations for Elementary School Students

El Rancho Unified School District Elementary Schools, in cooperation with Kaiser Permanente, are going to “Teach Flu a Lesson!” The flu is an illness caused by flu viruses. The flu may make people cough and have a sore throat and fever. They may also have a runny or stuffy nose, feel tired, have body aches, or show other signs they are not well.

PBIS Silver Award

THE PBIS Silver medal

In early August, Rio Vista Elementary School was awarded the Silver Medal for PBIS implementation. In order to meet this achievement, Rio Vista had to demonstrate excellence in the implementation of PBIS at Rio Vista.  Read more by clicking the title of this story above.

Parent Workshops, Fall 2018

There are three parent workshops planned for this fall. Rio Vista will be offering an introduction to online tools for learning, an overview of how supporting your child at home with AVID can support them on their journey to college, and a workshop on all things bullying and how to stop it. Student Council Elections

Students are currently in the process of running for student council office for this academic year. 4-5th grade students will be delivering speeches to all upper grade students this coming Friday in an assembly for students only. Following the speeches, all classes will be voting for their candidates. Winners will be announced before the end of the school day. Look back here for more information soon!

Successful First Fundraiser
