Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I look forward to getting to know my students and their amazing families. Please note in your calendar that Back-to-School Night is on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 5:30 pm. I will review my classroom policies and procedures on this evening. I look forward to seeing you there.

Library & Textbook Notifications

Dear Parents,

You may have received a letter in the mail stating that your child owes a math and science textbook. Unfortunately, the letter went out before I walked the students over to the library to return both of these books. Hence, all students returned these textbooks already. I sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused.

Es posible que haya recibido una carta en el correo indicando que su hijo debe un libro de matemáticas y ciencias. Les pido disculpa por que la carta se mandó antes de que yo haya llevado a los estudiantes a la biblioteca para regresar a ambos libros. Patriotic Performance

Reminder: The 4th grade students will perform on Thursday, Feb. 23. Students should come dressed in their "costume" on that morning ready to perform. After the performance for student body, students should change into their uniforms.

In the evening, students should come again dressed in their "costume" and ready to perform by 4:45 pm. The evening performance begins at 5:00 pm.

Recordatorio: Los estudiantes del cuarto grado presentarán el jueves, 23 de febrero. Los estudiantes deben venir vestidos con su "traje" esa mañana listos para bailar. Después de la presentacion para el cuerpo estudiantil, los estudiantes se deben cambiar en sus uniformes.

Por la tarde, los estudiantes deben regresar vestidos con su "traje" y listos para bailar a las 4:45 pm. El espectáculo nocturno comienza a las 5:00 pm.

Field trip on Friday, Nov. 18

Reminder: This Friday, Nov. 18, our class will participate in a field trip to Pomona College. Students will see a School House Rock production. We will leave immediately after taking attendance so please ensure that your child get to class on time with his/her lunch. Thank you!

Water Bottles

Reminder: Water bottles are welcome in my class, especially on very hot days. Please remember that other drinks such as Gatorade, Vitamin Water, punch, sodas, etc. are not permitted.

Welcome to the New School Year!

Welcome students and parents to the 2016-2017 school year! I am excited to meet all of you and establish positive relationships. Please remember that class begins at 8:15 am and that our first Wednesday, August 17, is NOT a Modified Day. I look forward to seeing all of my students in their uniforms to school.

Also, unfortunately, I won't be present at the school wide Back-to-School Night which is taking place on Aug. 25. I will, however, open my class on Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in room 16 to introduce classroom policies and procedures. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Bienvenidos estudiantes y padres al año escolar de 2016-2017! Estoy muy emocionada para conocer a todos ustedes y establecer relaciones positivas. Por favor, recuerde que la clase comienza a las 8:15 am y que nuestro primer miércoles, 17 de agosto, no es un día modificado. Espero ver a todos mis estudiantes en sus uniformes.

Ademas, desafortunadamente no voy a estar presente en el Regreso Escolar de la escuela que se llevara acabo el 25 de agosto. Si voy a tener una reunion de Regreso Escolar el martes, 30 de agosto desde 5:00-6:00 p.m. en el salon 16 para introducir las polizas y procedimientos de la clase. Me disculpo de antemano por cualquier inconveniente.

Fieldtrip

Our field trip to the Mission San Juan Capistrano is Friday, Feb. 26. Please make sure permission slips have been signed and returned! Also, remember that students should bring the following on the day of the field trip:

*lunch in a disposable bag

*comfortable walking shoes

*Rio Vista t-shirt (if they have one)

Halloween Celebration

We will have a very small celebration in class on Friday, Oct. 30 beginning at 1:45 p.m. Please do not send any candy or other treats to be shared in the class.
